PRIVACY POLICY

Effective 2026-11-05 · applies to the PocketEarth app for macOS and this website

SUMMARY

PocketEarth does not collect, store or share any personal data. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.

WHAT THE APP DOES ON THE NETWORK

To show live clouds, aurora, thunderstorm areas and satellite positions, the app downloads public data files from:

• data.pocketearth.app — our relay for cloud and thunderstorm data, hosted on Cloudflare;
• services.swpc.noaa.gov — NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center (aurora, Kp index);
• celestrak.org — satellite orbital elements.

These requests contain no personal information, identifiers or details about you or your Mac beyond what every download carries: your IP address and a generic app name and version. Like any web server, these servers may keep short-lived access logs under their own policies. We do not receive or use such logs to identify anyone.

ON YOUR MAC

Your settings and the downloaded data are stored only inside the app’s own container on your Mac. Nothing is sent back. Deleting the app removes them.

THIS WEBSITE

This site uses no cookies, no scripts and no analytics. It is served by Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

APP STORE

Apple provides us with aggregated, anonymous download and usage statistics through App Store Connect, under Apple’s privacy policy and only if you chose to share them with developers.

CHILDREN

PocketEarth collects no data from anyone, including children.

CHANGES AND CONTACT
